Scalable spectrum database construction mechanisms for efficient wideband spectrum access management

Abstract We propose a novel framework for enabling scalable database-driven dynamic spectrum access and sharing of heterogeneous wideband spectrum. The proposed consists two complementary approaches that exploit the merits compressive sensing theory, low-rank matrix user cooperation to build an accurate map by overcoming time-variability number occupied bands, need high measurements per node (SN), inherent wireless channels’ impairments, reporting network overhead. First, exploiting fact close-by SNs have highly correlated observation, we leverage distributed enable cooperative only from small each SN. Second, reduce overhead due width interest, two-step approach performs occupancy recovery using local property sub-matrices. Then, combine completed sub-matrices entries produce whole matrix.
